During market hours (9:30 AM - 4:00 PM ET), quotes update every few seconds via WebSocket connections. After hours, data refreshes periodically. Historical data is fetched on demand and cached for performance.

Five providers: Financial Modeling Prep (FMP) for fundamentals and quotes, Alpha Vantage for historical data, Polygon.io for real-time quotes, Finnhub for WebSocket streaming and earnings, and Yahoo Finance for supplementary dividend/quote data.

Three calendars: Economic Calendar (GDP, CPI, Fed decisions, employment), Earnings Calendar (earnings dates, estimates, beat/miss history), and Dividend Calendar (ex-dates, payment dates, amounts). Plus IPO Tracker and SPAC Tracker.
